ABOUT US
Threaded Pear Studio was started in February 2006 by Stephanie Goudzwaard and Gina Halladay. We both worked a at local quilt shop and began designing quilts and teaching quilting classes. After collaborating on a few designs together at work, we started to dream of doing their own patterns along with long-arm quilting on a Gammill Statler Stitcher!
We are both creative moms--with 6 kids between us-- and have a love for anything crafty!
2006 was a whirlwind that brought about lots of new adventures, including opening a design and quilting studio (We quilted about 300 quilts in about one year...five of them were actually on display at Quilt Market--we quilted for FreeSpirit designers, Anna Maria Horner, Heather Bailey and Tanya) creating a quilting pattern series of "instant gratification" quilting patterns, creating this website and setting their sites on presenting their wares at Spring Quilt Market 2007.
So we loaded up our truck and headed for Salt Lake City. We have since been to Quilt Market in Houston and we just returned from Portland's Spring Market. 
Here we are setting up our 10' x 10' cozy booth in Salt Lake City.
And we were featured designers for Holly Holderman's Lakehouse booth in Salt Lake and we continue to design patterns for her and her fabulous fabric lines.
This year bought a few changes, Stephanie and her family will be moving to Switzerland this summer for a few years. Stephanie will continue to design from across the sea and Gina will continue on with the business of doing Threaded Pear business. Our good friend and fairy godmother, Kaye Wickman will continue to help us at making quilt samples and helping to run Threaded Pear.
Joyce Brock joined us as our apron designer and Cathy Farris added two new quilt patterns to our Spring 2008 line up. Ginger Grimes is the head "pattern send-er-outer" and girl Friday.
I am surrounded by amazing talents and giving people and family at Threaded Pear Studio, QuiltersBuzz,at my Gammill Dealership, Cranberry Quiltworks, and at my home.
